Welcome to the 4th Visual Informatics International Seminar 2018
It is a pleasure to invite you to participate in the 4th Visual Informatics International Seminar 2018 (VIIS ’18) that will be held at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, UKM Bangi, Malaysia on 13 th to 15 th November 2018. The conference is organised by the Institute of Visual Informatics (IVI), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in conjunction with the UKM Integrated International Conference 2018 (UKM IIC 2018). VIIS’18 is organised with collaboration of several local and oversea universities. This year VIIS’18 brings latest state-of-the-art theme “Digital Transformation Landscape in the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR)” to cater the current needs on visual informatics in various research areas and industries. VIIS’18 aims to provide an excellent opportunity to share and exchange technologies and applications in the field of visual informatics for professionals, engineers, academics, and industrial people worldwide.
All papers will be published in the VIIS 2018 Proceedings (with ISBN registered) and selected papers at VIIS 2018 will be invited to submit for publication (T&C applied) in these journals:
1. International Review of Applied Sciences and Engineering (IRASE) -SCOPUS Indexed

"Road Transport is Changing"
Keynote Title: “Technology and the Changing Role of the Driver”
Road transport is changing. Drivers will see more changes in the next five years than they have seen in the last 100. How can we make these changes easier? How successfully users adapt to this new world — and hence their confidence, comfort, safety and happiness with the new technologies — will depend on the new ways they are given to interact with vehicles, traffic, navigation and the road system as a whole. This talk will discuss some of these new experiences, report on early experiments with the systems required to deliver them, and assess users’ reactions to the new scenarios created as a result.
